Nibbus

The nibbus is a mammalian carnivore known for its spectacular jumping ability, and the inability to control the trajectory of said jumping. A simple creature with a mere nerve filament for a brain, it really has only one well developed sense: its hearing. The nibbus will, at the first sound of anything, spring toward the noise in hopes that whatever made the sound is edible. Regardless of whether or not it is, the creature will proceed to gnash its needle like teeth.

As mentioned, the vaulting jumps of this animal are powerful, sending it hurling forward with incredible speed, but the legs acts on reflex alone, causing these creatures to fly into the air quite at random. One can always tell that spring has arrived when the sunset is dotted with leaping nibbi, some splattering on rocks or falling into the sea. The creatures saliva is analgesic numbing agent causing slowness in any target it nibbles.
