Gryphon by FutureDami Gryphon by FutureDami
The gryphon was, at one point, a majestic beast soaring the skies of pre-Generica. The species has since been domesticated for use in the dairy industry and lacks nearly all of it's former survival instincts in favor of delicious hocks and butter producing capability.

The gryphon can, with great effort, fly briefly and at a low altitude, much to the annoyance of farmers who spend hundreds of silver every year on domed wire fences to keep their flocks from going astray.

The gryphon is the 7th sign of the Exfolian zodiac, and given to those born under the month of embersky marking the beginning of autumn. Those of this house are typically diplomatic, indolent, likable, indecisive, sociable, and superficial.

Has the Generican Gryphon had its carnivorous habits bred out of it?

Unfortunately for farmers, no. They are still apex carnivores which makes them a fifth level trophic consumer, and a very inefficient food source.

This has lead generican geneticists to breed two new species to serve as their food source: the legless rabbit (considered the saddest thing you can ever see) and meat-grass (which is a bit less traumatizing but also screams when you walk upon it.)

The legless rabbit reminds me of my 3-legged rabbit, "Lucky." (God rest his soul) Lucky was always an inspiring sight, hobbling down his bunny trail. My parents insisted that he help them try and win the lottery. But, after three months of trying, we were forced to rename him "Dinner."
