Space child Bud has been chosen.
No average 5th grader, Bud is encased in a mylar-like cocoon of pure wholesome USDA choice gelatin. The sentient goo is both a weapon and a shield, and wordlessly responds to Bud's slightest thought.
If Bud happens to think about punching someone, for example, the blob forms a massive fist and pummels the target. The only problem is that Bud cannot stop the ooze from acting in such a manner. This will make dating very complicated for Bud in his upcomming teen years.
